Would You Like Fries With That? Yes, Please. By the Handful.

29 Apr

I helped a friend do some work at her church today, and at lunchtime we found ourselves at a gem of a burger place in a tiny farming town.

This is Buffalo Burger. In Buffalo, Missouri. But it’s not just named for the town. They really do serve buffalo burgers in addition to the regular variety.

I’m not an adventurous eater. I got a good old fashioned cheeseburger. And it was delicious. Actually, everything was delicious.

Check out the toasty edges on that bun. It might not seem that special, but it was the perfect amount of toasty/crispy/crunchy/yummy. After pretty much every bite I had to stop and tell my friend how good it was (as she was eating a burger of her own, with the same toasted bun, and same yum-factor).

My kids scarfed down their grilled cheese & bacon sandwich. Because really, who wouldn’t?

The fries needed salt, but came with little paper salt packets, so we ripped ’em open, dumped ’em on, and all was good.
I like a girl who eats fries by the handful.

I also like small towns. I like big trucks, cowboy boots, and people that ride through the parking lot on a horse. And then ride their horse right up to our table. Which happened while we were eating. My kids thought it was the coolest thing ever. My friend was totally grossed out. It was a good day.

Love it! The only thing missing is the pic of the horse and cowboy! Had a great time!

Looks like a great place. Cute photos too!

Thanks for your sweet comment on my blog about the “home” sign. Good luck if you decide to give it a try! 🙂
