Bicycle Makeover :: DIY

2 Sep

We just got the boy an awesome new bike, which meant it was time to pass his old one down to the girl.

Anabel is one of the biggest tomboys I’ve seen, but the girl LOVES pink. And glitter. There was no way she would ride her brother’s red bike.

Spray paint to the rescue!

But first, I had to disassemble the bike.

I love taking things apart. It’s easy. It’s fun. It takes practically no skill.

The big problem is when it’s time to put everything back together.

I’ve got a little tip on how to make the process easier.

Take pictures of each step.

More specifically, take pictures of how everything fits together.

When it’s time to reassemble, all you have to do is look at the picture and you know exactly what pieces you need and what order to put them together.20110902-103200.jpg

Voila. Pink bike.

And the cutest little trick rider you ever did see. 20110902-103650.jpg
