A Fall Wreath :: A Little {Pin}spiration

1 Nov

It’s been a little while since I’ve blogged. Or done anything remotely crafty. Like, a whole month. Way too long.

I’ve been tired. No, exhausted. Pretty much any free time has been spent napping on the couch.

That’s what happens when you use all your energy growing a human…

Yeah, that’s right. There’s a baby on the way. And we’re pretty stinkin’ excited about it.

Thankfully, I think I’m just about out of that to-tired-to-sit-up phase. I can stay awake all day, and actually had enough energy today to clean the house AND get crafty!

I’ve been collecting ideas on Pinterest for months, but never actually MAKE anything I see. I’m trying to change this, hence the {Pin}spiration post.

I knew I wanted to make a fall themed wreath, and found these two that I liked.

I ended up with something that’s sort of a combination of the two.

I decided on a grapevine wreath with neutral colors. I had burlap and muslin laying around, and they were perfect for my flowers.

I added some bunting as well, to spell out the word, “FALL.” I cut muslin into triangles, wrote my letters, and hot glued them to some twine.
(You have no idea how close I came to spelling L-L-A-F. Crafting is hard work.)

And here’s the finished product!

It will eventually hang on the front door. I just haven’t gotten my fall decorations out of the attic, and that’s where my wreath hanger is.
I’m only a couple months behind…

I’m linking up with these parties:
